Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a common endocrine system disorder among women reproductive age. It is a condition in which a woman’s levels of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone are out of balance. Women with PCOS may have enlarged ovaries that contain small collections of fluid — called follicles — located in each ovary as seen during an ultrasound exam.

Infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods, excess hair growth, acne, and obesity can all occur in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. In adolescents, infrequent or absent menstruation may raise suspicion for the condition

Polycystic ovary syndrome signs and symptoms often begin soon after a woman first begins having periods (menarche). In some cases, PCOS develops later during the reproductive years, for instance, in response to substantial weight gain.

 Polycystic Ovary Diet Recommendation: 

 Balance your daily protein intake with an equal amount of carbohydrates.

 Watch out for an irregular period cycle.   

 Eat foods low on the glycemic index and glycemic load 

 Eat a diet high in fiber. 

 Eat 5 small meals a day. 

 Eat essential fatty acids daily.

 Exercise for 30 minutes

 Eat Organic.
